Art Around the World (ages 7-11)
This year we will visit different art styles around the world. We will dot through the Aboriginal art of Australia to the mandalas of India and all the countries and shapes in between. The class will include art appreciation as well as the creation of art in various mediums. Monday 9:30-10:25 Instructor: Mrs. Mattea Cost: $180 (15 week session) Awesome ASL! (ages 5-8) In this fun American Sign Language class students will learn beginning signs through games and play. They will also discuss deaf culture and history. Wednesday 10:30-11:25am Instructor: Mrs. Karie Cost:$150 (15 weeks) Beginner Choir (ages 7+) Developing foundational vocal skills through age-appropriate choral repertoire and engaging activities. Children will build singing techniques including head voice singing, falsetto, breathing, listening skills as well as musicianship elements such as solfège, ear training, and ensemble skills. Performance opportunities will include a session-end demonstration. Auditions are not required. Thursday, 10:30-11:25am Instructor: Ms. Isabelle Cost:$225 (15 weeks) Beginner Drums (ages 8+) In a small group students will learn and apply their rhythmic knowledge to the entire drum set. Starting with practice pads to develop coordination and the rudiments needed to then rotate through the drum set. Students will learn by listening to contemporary music in order to develop an understanding of the drummer’s role in a band, and how to interact with the other instruments while laying the foundation for everyone. Thursday, 11:50-12:45pm Instructor: Ms. Isabelle Cost: $225 (15 weeks) $25 (drum pad kit) Beginner Piano with Music Theory (ages 7+) In a small group students will learn how to play with engaging songs, games and creative discovery at the keyboard. Ear-training and eye-training are also part of the curriculum. We will explore a variety of genres and styles, from classical music to today’s hits. Thursday, 1:50-2:45pm Instructor: Ms. Isabelle Cost: $225 (15 weeks) Beginners Reading Nook (ages 5-8) This class is for the beginner reader. We will be practicing letter blends, word recognition, reading in a small group setting, and basic comprehension. Core word memorization will be practiced through activities and games. Example reading material: Bob books, "Now I'm Reading!", Dr. Seuss Wednesday, 11:50-12:45pm Instructor: Mrs. Andrea Cost: $150 (15 weeks) Beginner Watercolor (ages 7-11) Come explore the exciting world of watercolor. This class will cover basic watercolor techniques to build students personal artistic “tool kit.” We will draw inspiration from other artists as well as our imagination to create beautiful pieces that could be shared as gifts or hang on your wall. C3- Conversations, Connections, & Creations (ages 8+)
Students will explore growth topics cultivating group conversations, connect with fun games of self discovery and team building, and create expressive crafts and projects. This class is a practice of cultivating healthy relationships with self and others while having fun! Thursday, 11:50-12:45pm Instructor: Ms. Desi Cost: $150 (15 weeks) Kids Etiquette (ages 7-11) Kids etiquette focuses on several of the most important children's etiquette and manners lessons. Through interaction, humor, and fun, children learn and practice greetings, conversation skills, and table manners. Tuesday, 10:30-11:25am Instructor: Mrs. Andrea Cost: $150 (15 weeks) Fitness Fun (ages 5-8) In this class students will take a fun journey into the world of fitness. We will learn the value of fitness and how to integrate it into our daily lives. We will have a warm up routine that they can expand on at home (I’m bringing calisthenics back). Each week we will explore a new fitness activity with games, challenges, music, and fun. Some things we will cover will be cross fit style classes, yoga, Zumba, dance, HIIT, Ninja warrior training, kids cardio, and more! Monday, 11:50-12:45, 12:50-1:45 Instructor: Ms. Desi Cost: $150 (15 weeks) Let's Paint! (ages 8+) Kilned pottery painting, clay creating, canvas painting, and more! Wednesday, 12:50-1:45pm Thursday, 10:30-11:25am Instructor: Ms. Stephanie Cost: $225 (15 weeks) Mad Math Skills (ages 7-11) Through hands-on activities and games, students will reinforce their knowledge of addition and subtraction, and explore multiplication and division. Word problems will be covered as will fact families. Concepts such as working with multi-digit numbers, borrowing, multiplication and long division will be explored. Fractions and decimals may also appear. Required: willingness to write numbers and math problems. Wednesday, 11:50-12:45pm Instructor: Mrs. Amy Cost: $150 (15 weeks) Math is Fun! (ages 5-8) Through hands-on activities and games, students will explore numbers, gaining number sense and a basic understanding of place value, addition and subtraction. Age-appropriate introduction to negative numbers, multiplication, division, and word problems may occur. Ability to recognize the numbers 0-10 is required. Wednesday, 9:30-10:25 am Instructor: Mrs. Amy Cost: $150 (15 weeks) Musical Theatre (ages 5-8, 7-11) This musical theatre class will branch out into acting and more cohesive storytelling. The kids will learn how to address a 10 minute mini musical and make acting choices that make them SHINE. Come join us while while we sing, dance, and take a chance! Monday, ages 5-8, 1:50-2:45 pm Tuesday, ages 7-11, 12:50-1:45pm Instructor: Ms. Caroline/ Ms. Abby Cost: $180 (15 week session) Sewing & Embroidery (ages 7+) In this beginner class we will learn a variety of stitches and we'll create our own little embroidery design that we can stitch into our finals projects or can use as a beautiful art piece. Space Exploration (ages 5-8)
In this class we will explore space from seemingly small stars to our ever-changing moon. We will cover the different bodies in space and how they orbit. We will discuss space exploration as a means for continued knowledge. This class will include demonstrations, projects, and other hands-on learning as we explore this grand expanse. Monday, 11:50-12:45, 12:50-1:45 Instructor: Mrs. Mattea Cost: $150 (15 weeks) Spanish Playhouse (ages 5-8) Through play-based learning, this beginner Spanish class will introduce the language and basic vocabulary through games, songs, and activities that go with the theme of the week. Wednesday, 12:50-1:45pm Instructor: Mrs. Abby Cost: $150 (15 weeks) Study Hall Students may bring any school work from home to work on at their own pace. Instructor will assist with studies as needed. Cost:$150 (15 weeks) Ukulele (ages 7+) Whether you’ve played ukulele before or have no idea what it even is, this class is for you! Join us as we learn in a fun and diverse way how to play those songs we know and love! From the easy ones like “Twinkle Twinkle" all the way to some of our Disney favorites “I Lava You,” this class will offer a rich repertoire while providing the opportunity for the students to just have fun and jam with one another! There is so much stuff! What do we do with it? Turn it into something new and beautiful or even useful! We will also explore sustainability as a way of life. Let’s create together while showing love to our momma Earth! Thursday 12:50-1:45pm Instructor: Ms. Desi Cost: $180 (15 weeks) Wonder Lab (ages 7-11) We will recreate classic home science experiments and allow students to test their own theories when possible. Students will discover why these surprising and mysterious reactions happen through observing the properties of solids, liquid, and gasses, electricity, polymers, acids and alkali reactions, etc. Join us in all the fun and messy science experiments that kids love. Tuesday, 9:30-10:25 am Instructor: Ms. Nicole Cost: $150 (15 weeks) World Travelers (ages 5-8) Join us as we travel the world! Students will be exploring the continents, oceans, and major countries. The class will include a combination of geography, landmarks, cultures, and language. Monday 10:30-11:25 am Instructor: Mrs. Andrea Cost: $150 (15 weeks) Writers Workshop (ages 8+) In this class we will create the space to set up shop! Our workshop will be in the area of Narrative and Expository writing. Each child will explore the conventions of writing at their current level, push their knowledge, and integrate the writing practices beyond our class. We will have full group topics, work collaboratively in small groups, learn self and peer editing, share their pieces out loud and have individual writing sessions with the instructor to final edit and complete their writing pieces.
